Lady in Red

On the bus I noticed two teenage boys sitting two seats ahead to my right singing the following:

I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright
I immediately recognised the lines from the song, Lady in Red by Chris De Burgh. The boys kept repeating the lines without actually singing the full song. In my mind's eye I could see Chris singing the song and it made me smile.

After a few minutes, one lad swapped seats and sat in front of me and invited his friend over to sit with him. His friend refused and said he was being stupid. His friend insisted the seat in front of me was a better seat. I reckon the boy had only swapped seats because I had joined them in their song. I was going to ask him if he had a lady in red in mind but I decided not to.

As they were getting off the bus, in my thought I wished them well and hoped they found their lady in red.
